We departed Paris this morning and took the Thalys train to Brussels, but not before we learned one last valuable lesson. Okay, let's be honest, Brussels is cool. But it truly did not even compare to Bruges. I love Bruges. It may have been touristy when I was there, but Brussels was too.
(side note: Going in to Belgium I knew that it was famous for its beer, chocolate and waffles. I also knew that Brussels is the capital of the European Union and it really shows because everyone there speaks at the very least French, Dutch and English.)
Anyway, we started out the trip late ...
