... we set to West Vancouver where we were staying for the night. We are not a 100% sure where we started to go wrong but when we ended up in Richmond we knew we were going the wrong way! After stopping at the petrol station (they are always great for directions) we were back on track. Or so we thought! We'd started going the wrong way along the highway & had to turn back. Once on course we finally made it to horseshoe bay & back into west Vancouver. However ...

... a day earlier so we didn’t see any which I must confess to being a little disappointed at but there is always next time..We did, however, see Humpback Whales 2 different groups........a mum and her 2 year old calf, the mum was 50ft long (our boat holding the skipper, engine and 12 people was only 25ft) it was amazing to see them moving fluidly in and out of the water in unison and we also saw another group, all spotted first by the blow ...

    ... with conversations with two couples that shared our table. Before returning to the room we took a stroll on the outer walkway of the Plaza Deck. Today would be warmer and sunny with just a slight breeze. As we would not have a long time in port and with the wonderful weather, we felt it would be a perfect day and port to take a leisurely four mile walk.

We followed Government street all the way to the ocean, which we think was Andrew's Bay, surrounded by driftwood upon driftwood, and a few little dogs happy to be off their leads and sniff every possible smell the beach had to offer.
