... their travels! We got on the road late afternoon and had about a two and a half hour drive towards Houston. We don't plan to visit Houston, but we needed to head east to cut off a few hours of our drive to New Orleans tomorrow. We found a nice state park to call our home for the night. ... to our bikes the rain had...dare I say it...STOPPED! (PS: Two days after we visited Wemberly, the Blanco River overflowed its banks in very heavy rain and 20 residents were lost in the ensuing flood.)

We thanked our tour guide and stowed our rain armor as fast as we could. We wanted to start riding again while it was nice out. So, we headed northwest to Johnson City, TX. Why not? We were in the area.

We found Johnson City right ...
