Today we drove down to Lake Geneva, a lake near the Illinois border, and had a ride on the mail boat. You might have seen this on TV - it's been on news and travel programs. Click here to see one from NBC Nightly News.

This is one of the few places where mail is still delivered by boat. The mail boat goes ...

Flew into Milwaukee and caught the train to Chicago while Tracy takes the rental car to Elkhorn. Thursday - Brookfield Zoo was great as always. Dolphin show got us soaked. Weather was perfect. Friday- rented a Divvy bike downtown. $7 for the day, but you have to return it to a bike rack somewhere in town within 30 minutes. I road from the train station to buckingham fountain, along the lakefront to The Field Museum and put it in a rack there while I visited the museum. Then ...

Left Indiana this morning and traveled most of day to reach our destination in Stoughton, WI. Passed zillions of corn fields as far as we could see. Arrived about 4pm at Lake Kegonsa State Park. Lovely woody sites which would be perfect if we could keep the Mosquitos from levitating us off the ground. Enjoyed walking through the park tonight-all body parts sprayed or covered. Full day planned tomorrow. Has been great traveling with our good friends. Life us ...

... too. Finally, the most important tool, your car for pulling various objects out of the lake - this weekend, tree branches. After watching that spectacle, Susan and I moved on to our own project. My Mom has been complaining that the drop ceiling is sagging and has damaged tiles on the ceiling near the fireplace. Susan (my sister) and I assessed and saw that the ceiling supports were cut too short. Also, we pulled the drop ceiling tiles and were rewarded with the previous water ...

    Fire flies for you!

Well, all the lazing reading and listening to the critters means we had some chores to get done, so today, that is what we did. House cleaning.
As a reward we got to watch the fire flies again tonight AND we got woken up at 2:30 in the morning by a HUGE thunder and lightening storm! Loved it!

Okay, I have dried dozens of times to attach a video of the fireflies, but it just won't work. If it ever does, I will let you know. Sorry.
