We found our rural home and met our host Charlotte who showed us around her 34 year old home which she designed and raised her 4 children in. This place was filled floor to ceiling with family photos and memories and she even told us that she had given birth to two of her kids in the bedroom next to us! (Too much detail perhaps?)

Our Cape Cod experience is quite different to Cape May. While we have bikes available to us we can't cycle as the roads are narrow - no footpaths and no cycle lanes. There are bike trails around the Cape but we can't transport them in our rental car.
We can walk to 2 golf courses, can fish in the pond below our house but must tour by car. We found a really good natural history museum and a walk through ...

Observation: Living out west all our lives, we had no inkling of the places we studied in Bud Murray’s American History class! What a blessing to be able to experience them now! We are driving up the Cape today, headed to Nantucket tomorrow and I can’t wait for Plymouth Rock on Wednesday!
... we missed it. We made it to the end of the trail after running about 4 miles. There is a bike shop there, Barb's Bike Shop and several not that attractive strip malls, with stores like Dunkin’ Donuts, Marshalls, and a Stop&Shop. Not really charming quintessential Cape Cod.
