... as we made our way up the the newly built Red Tail Stadium at Beaver Creek. What a stunning view we had not just of the course but the surrounding mountains as well. The course was in perfect condition and the view from the stadium was great we we were able to see a large portion of the downhill run. There was a huge giant screen as well so that we could see the action close up as well.

The course is designed to challenge the best skiers in ...

We stopped also at the small township of Eagle. There was not much here but we did find 'The Store That Sells Everything'. The gun totin' bags caught my attention as they were similar to the one ...

Ran into these two beautiful dogs waiting for their master outside a shop. Had to stop and pat them - actually we couldn't walk past as one of them blocked our path until we did pat him. We also have seen this bird around Aspen as well. Found out he is a Black Billed Magpie. Different to our magpies in Australia especially as they have very long tails. However they still have ...

... Apple Strudel and Hot Chocolate. Warm and filling it certainly tasted good and was very much appreciated.

Once again it was a day for the Austrians. The very parochial American crowd desperately wanted local girl Michaela Shriffrin to win and although leading after the first run, her 2nd run was rather scratchy and she finished 5th. Nikki Hosp absolutely nailed the course and scored her first World Cup victory since 2008. She was one happy girl. Our Swedish ...
