Not much to write about...
My only reason to come to Houston was to visit the NASA space center. Frankly, it was unimpressive at best.
Houston downtown looked very busy, huge and un-inviting and I felt very tired at the same time. So I decided not to do anything else in Houston. I checked into a motel close to NASA and crashed.

... hier am Airport George Bush (allein der Name sagt alles!) haben wir dann lieber nicht erwähnt, dass wir gar nicht verheiratet sind – sonst hätten wir am Ende noch zwei Einzelzimmer bekommen.

Cancelled flight and problem solving
... the 7am from Houston to Austin. Sounded like a great suggestion, especially as there is a Marriott within the Houston airport.
So we did; the flight was fine and on-time. We were even able to sit together in Economy Plus, which isn't bad for a last-minute change. I had booked us a room at the Marriott; we took the train to the hotel and were in bed within 30 minutes of landing. It was after midnight but we were still a bit wired so took a little while to fall ...
Day 30: Airport

You Know You're In Texas When

Check in for shuttle 12:30; retrieved bag and passed it off to the United World College Staff; did a little more work, and boarded the bus, which rolled out on time at 2:00. The drive ended up being 2.5 hours, as there was some horrendous accident a few minutes north of the city which closed two lanes. Oh well! Some things are the same everywhere.
But around 4:30, we arrived at....the next entry.
