Excitement and over-fatigue conspired to keep me from getting a good night's sleep, but I was still up at the crack of the Houston dawn to get this vacation STARTED already!

When we stepped out of the hotel, we saw a giant motorized shopping cart with seats to shuttle folks to the Fuddruckers restaurant.

We skipped breakfast, and hitched a ride to Sunset Body works here in the downtown area for our luxury pedicure. We enjoyed some ...

Weather is a broken record, cloudy with a threat of rain. About an 80% threat of rain this afternoon. So we made plans for the morning.

... air was surprising. There were lots of factories and so much trees and greenery. I expected dirt and houses.

Our Ranch is about 2 hours away from Houston so we have hired two cars and drove here. Matt, Blake and myself in our Chevy SUV and Mike, Nicole and Louise in their Jeep Patriot. The roads are in very poor form but they have lots of road works happening and I think they are trying to fix that. Blake was a very good ...

... they advise early arrival to avoid the last minute check in dash. Check-in was a breeze. We had upgraded our flight to Business Class, so we were authorized access to the Executive Lounge. While in the lounge, I requested a wheelchair for Rosalind due to the distance from the International Arrivals to the Domestic Departures areas in Beijing. Rosalind watched Dancing with the Stars Finals, I checked email, talked with family and friends, paid a couple ...
