    ... lost trying to navigate the many rooms. The place is filled with authentic furnishings, not to mention a private garden complete with tangerine and lemon trees among the greenery that is meticulously nurtured by a resident gardener. Scattered around and between the garden's pathways are a variety of sculptures and other curiosities.

    ... attributed to Volto Santo; crown, breastplate with jeweled cross necklace, belt .....all gold. The black robe is embroidered with gold thread, as are the wrist scarves. Quite stunning. Sculptures and paintings from the churches collecton are displayed here, as are artifacts from medieval times.

    ... train hopping but we arrived mid morning with the crowds (if this is off season I'd hate to see peak!) With many paths still closed we jumped off the train at the third town and walked along the cliffs through olive trees and grape vines to the next town Vernezza. It was a steep climb in some small parts, but worth the views. We were surprised at how isolated the towns appeared, and how well connected they were by trains running though the hills.     ... but as the thunderstorms rolled in we settled with local shopping & reading indoors. At KL Airport I brought 'The happiness project'.. its amazing how things present them self to you when you need them most. I'm thinking of starting my own (happiness project.)
