    ... mozzies, but we now have buzz off, so hopefully she will be ok now. Its been hot here in the 30's so some cooler weather will be good. We are going to a town called Lucca which is a walled city. Craig and I are taking a bike ride so it should be fun.     ... they are still at the age that they can be taught that lying is wrong and if you do it, your nose will grow but sometimes adults tell ‘white lies’ which is ok!!!

    No luck (and no we are not telling a white lie) because all the shops were closed! We are on the Continent remember and it was 4pm with hundreds of tourists walking past so why would they be open? ...

    ... few people make as much as we do. And so far, I don't think they have the same variety or quality. Except wine. Even the cheapest red wine is good - or so we have found. John and I were the chefs tonight. I felt some pressure as I didn't have any recipes. I am just a middling cook, and I wanted it to be somewhat interesting. The kitchen is limited in terms of equipment, I've not used gas before, the slow burner would not light. We did not blow up. Done was a first in Italy ...
