For the first time we really do feel we are in a foreign land. English other than that being spoken by us Is yet to be heard. This is a popular resort town for Germans and Russians. The preferred second language appears to be German yet they are coping with us and us with them. Yesterday after writing the blog Emma and I descended to the old town as we did so we passed gracious hotels, apartment blocks and restaurants. Yellow in varying shades appears the popular choice of ...

... despite only a few small purchases having been made. And so we are here and thanks to Louise this is a most comfortable apartment located beside parkland which I can hear crying out for us to walk in and so we shall. Before I begin talking about my trip this past weekend, I thought I would mention a few things from last week. Last Tuesday, Bram and I went to an AC Sparta soccer game. I was glad to be able to finally get to see some soccer over here. Our team won and I got a cool scarf, so it was definitely a good time! My favorite part was listening to the fans cheer on the team. Most of the chants were in Czech and I could only pick up on the words "Sparta" or "Praha". One time though, I was able ...

    Karlovy Vary

We arrived in Karlovy Vary and we went for a walk around town and their tradition is healing spa water.

Some of it is about 72 degrees and then you drink it and it heals you, I don't believe it.

But I am DEFINITELY NEVER drinking that water again.

The next day is Zaras BIRTHDAY, but the funny thing is I slept in until about 9:00 until they
    woke ...
