... bits of floating blubber in the water, de-lish! The pod was small numbering about 5 but they were quite happy milling around playing with their food. Unlike some other countries we've been to, there are very strict rules about how close you can get to them so we were never closer than 250 yards. ... What a gem! And the homemade muffin was pretty good too. One of the local ladies was really verbally annoyed when she found out that we had bought the last one - I think she expected us to hand it back so she could have it! We are a day or two behind schedule because the outboard motor that we use to push our inflatable dinghy was sick. It is now fixed and we're set to head out from the islands tomorrow bright and early.

The plan is to head from here across the Strait of Juan de Fuca to Port Angeles. We'll fuel up there and then head for Neah Bay. Yeah we are on a sailboat but we do have a motor on it and use ...
