... too well so they have somewhat limited themselves food-wise, and lets not talk about all the toxins in the fish....... Anyway, there was a bit of spyhopping going on and a few occasions where the young ones breached in the distance. A quick visit to the Stellar sea lions (the worlds biggest sea lion, possibly the smelliest and a source of food for the transient mammal feeding orca) just before getting in made for a nice but cold day out.

... warnings to trucks about steep hills and we pass many lanes for vehicles whose brakes have failed. The temperature rises from 2 degrees to 10 degrees in a fairly short time.

We had plans to stop in Coquihalla Park but the rain is still persisting so we decide to keep moving on and hope that our stop in Bridal Veil ...

... traveling against the wind and the big waves that come with it.

One of the systems we have installed onboard is an AIS transponder. This lets us see big ships on our chartplotter and maybe more importantly it lets them see us. Believe it or not there is an app for that. We can see them on our iPad and iPhone as well.

That's it for now we as have to hit the sack in order to be up early to catch the tide.

... is doing. He did this confusing-slightly-awkward hand shake/kiss on the cheek thing before leaving. Wasn't sure how to take it at first since some of the guys on the ship can be kind of forward or 'flirty' (aka creepy) by winking or making puckering noises at you but I later learned the cheek kiss is just part of his culture and he isn't anyone I'd have to worry about. ( No worries Mike! =P )
