      We were awakened by a extremely loud air raid siren this morning. The City of Nachitoches (nak-a-tish) has a very loud siren system with recorded announcements throughout the downtown area. Thoughts of impending London air raids, armageddon or tornados went through our heads until we heard the loudspeakers throughout town, warning of lighting strikes from the incoming thunder storms.       ... in the middle of their 19th annual rhythm and blues festival. We quickly made our way down to the Cane River Lake where the festival was blaring. A few minutes and a short walk away, we were listening to their hometown singer who recently departed "The Voice", TV show.       ... until the main house was built in 1833. After 1884 the property was acquired by John Hampton Henry and Miss Cammie Garrett Henry and then became a haven for artist and writers. There is a nominal $10 charge for a tour of the primary buildings. The tour was excellent.       Took a taxi to the airport. Check-in with Avis went easily. We had requested an economy vehicle but they didn't have any so got a free upgrade to a 2013 Ford Escape.
