... to stay, so when we got out of the van and a sweet tiny man came up to me to try and get us to come to his family run hotel I agreed. Our own room and bathroom in a lovely room overlooking the lush jungle like forest of trees and plants with breakfast included for a total of 15$ a night sounded good to us. Wiedi and his wife, Ami, run a small hotel with what looks like 6-8 rooms. They were really nice and helpful.

After 2 hours of sleep we were picked up from the hotel at 1am and bundled into a mini bus picking up various other travellers on route to mount Batur, one of Bali's famous volcanos. We arrived in the dark and were each handed torches and introduced to our guides, and after doing a quick head count we set off into the darkness. It was getting late and they needed to tear down the bar for the night. Ray asked if we would like to join them for some dinner a at place they liked.
