Most beautiful white sand beach that you will ever walk on.There were beach houses and condos and local food place right within the walking distance of 2 miles from the beach. The movers came first thing in the morning to pack up the boxes. They packed them into wooden crates because our stuff is being shipped to Alaska on a boat (which I find fascinating). They made quick time of it and were gone by 11. We packed up the car, cleaned the apartment and turned in our apartment keys. The Xterra was loaded down we had to bring so much with us. Despite our abysmal trip through Alligator Alley we had a lovely drive as we headed north out of Florida. Once on the gulf coast Lew and I decided to stop at Siesta Key. The key is proudly adorned with signs proclaiming it the #1 Beach in the USA. It was quite beautiful, but none of the beaches were dog friendly. That leaves it's rankings far below the #1 ranking it boasts, but I'll post photos and allow you to decide for yourself.
