We had a great time relaxing at Fort Pickens. Nita went for a nice long bicycle ride along the coast. She was flying - until it was time to turn around. Suddenly the truth dawned - she was flying because the wind was helping. The return trip was against the wind!

I went exploring access points to the beach and the actual fort. Saw my first and so ...

After a grueling five days of driving, it was time to find a nice campground and hang out for a few days. My plan was to stay at the state park on the beach near Destin. But the polar vortex spoiled things, so I found an RV park near Pensacola instead. ... that we retired to our beds for a mid-afternoon siesta. We woke up to the idea of fresh oyster happy hour where we met the world's greatest oyster shucker, Thomas. He was a 50ish y.o. man with a great sense of humor. He gave Powerstroke a little shuga shuga and she gave it right back! Thomas jokingly patronized Powerstroke and asked if the oyster was too big for her, she came back with, "Oh no! I like the big meaty ones in my mouth!" He was taken aback, then blushed and then laughed ...

Today we drove to Pensacola, Florida to the National Aviation Museum on the Navy Base. It was way more interesting that we expected. There was this tour guide who actually flew some of the planes during WWII.
When we got back to the trailer, I made some baked fish and Ron lost his car keys. 45 minutes later when he found them in the trash, the fish was ...
