Shopping ... unsuccessfully

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 08, 2015

Our only activity today was an attempt to get the suitcases fuller before we head home in three weeks. We went to many stores over 6 hours and didn't get much at all, despite trying on lots of clothes. The day was pretty warm but it got overcast so the day was comfortable despite being in the late 80s. For lunch we had Taco Bell and for dinner we had ...

Underground caves and snake farm

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 07, 2015

First stop today was a visit to the Nature Bridge caves just out of Schertz. We decided to take both tours into the two separate caves. For dinner we went next door to Denny's then looked around the local Walmart. There are lots of black birds with cool eyes that make a real racket ...

We found a pub on the river walk and enjoyed fish and chips for dinner. Friday we headed into town by bus - arrived by 10:30. We bought tickets for Penn and Teller performance for that night at the Majestic. Then we went to the Alamo and toured through it. By the time we finished it was raining. We ate lunch ...

... trip thrown in. We spent spring break nesting and having the 3 granddaughters and fam enjoy the new place and park. Collin Winged and they are moving to San Diego for their first posting.   So here we go on our first day of summer. Visiting in this part of the world would be unheard of by Papa Lucian and Papa James.  But Eastern Europe was interesting in Estonia and Russia. We want to see what it is like from Prague, Vienna and Budapest this ...
