This was our day to enjoy Door County. We wanted to have a little taste of what it was all about. We'd already driven quickly through the cute little villages, and if we had more time we would have spent more time in them, and I do kind of feel badly we didn't, and I promise we'll do better next time if we are able to ever come again.

I was up early so went out to enjoy the sunrise over the river. Gorgeous, so peaceful and serene. This was our day to relax.

We went up to Parfrey's Glen. We had driven past yesterday (sunday) with the intention to see it, but with cars filling the parking lot and out onto the highway felt it wouldn't be the experience we wanted. Today was much better, we only saw ...

... recent storm had increased the water level by 5 ft and we were unable to go through the Narrows which was disappointing. But we are still in awe of how much water it would take to raise that huge area by 5 ft. A little incomprehensible for people who come from an area where the average is 11 inches of rain a year. Utah is known for its slot canyons, but no one told me Wisconsin has some as well. Witch's Gulch is a ...
