... there it is a short drive over to Kyllini where we get the last ferry over to Kefalonia. In theory this should be 'simples', we just have to join all the dots together and make it all happen. In total the trip will take us 5 days, which includes an extra day in Verbier to sort Wills stuff out... It all sounds so easy... Apart from men don't listen and women can't read maps! watch this space....

Today Ron, Abi, Mike and I set off on a big day of exploring Cornwall while the rest did their own thing. First we headed down the coast through Newquay and all of the little coastal towns and beaches which was beautiful. Then we headed towards Lizard Point which I think is the most southern point in England. We first went to get an Icecream because it was actually warm! We couldn't believe it! ... because the line was so incredibly long. We also go to go ice skating! Now these skates were not real skates (made of plastic) and for a Canadian, that is a hard thing to get over. Nonetheless we did it and it was a lot of fun. I am however, used to using figure skates which have the pick at the front of the toe. These did not. Thankfully, I only fell once.

I spent a lovely week in Cornwall over Christmas seeing my Mum each day and visiting various towns and villages near the Lizard where I was staying. The harbour at Coverack by night was a magical scene with Christmas lights and decorations illuminating the small fishing boats in the harbour. I also took a couple of walks to my favourite places anywhere in the world - Kynance Cove and Lizard Point. The sunsets at this time of the year are truly spectacular. ...
