Started the day on a tour of Carter Cave. There were enough bats flying around that we started calling Clay 'Robin'. The tour ended with seeing a waterfall in the cave. Very Cool. Next stop was Fort Boonesborough. This is the town founded by Daniel Boone. We got to see what life was like for the Kentucky pioneers in 1775. We saw a weaver, a carpenter, and a blacksmith. The detail on many of these quilts is unbelievable -- the quilting especially. They had an entire section -- called "Oh, my! Quilts" -- featuring all miniatures (no more than 24" on a side), and which invariably cause you to say "Oh, my!" when you see them.
