Back in The Umi Van wit Kat the Swedes
Met back up with Kat, Sarah, Malin and Jonahs in Hokitika. Was great to see them again. We headed straight for Franz Joseph where they stayed at a hostel called Mount Rose. The kids running that place where the biggest ******** I've met down here. They just sucked at life. Really. Enough about that - I slept in the van anyways.

... it up to huge landscapes that go on for hours!! Photos don`t really capture it very well as it is so vast. The roads are good so we managed to get to Queenstown by about 4.30pm.
Something you don`t see at home are masses of wild lupins along the edges of the mountain roads and by the shores of the lakes. You can smell them as you drive along. We did stop to admire the views along ...
In the town of Queens
... relaxing place to be & contemplate life. After a nice amount of cooking in the sunshine we decided to head back to the hostel for our free dinner. After dinner we had a inter hostel quiz which was good fun & run by Bruno from the hostel. He was from Brazil & had a really strong accent . Bungee Jumping!!!!
... said no it was pretty awesome, but scary. I was passed through the gate and un hooked. My eyes were still about ten times as big as they normally are. I had a big ol’ grin on my face too. It was the next girls turn. When she came back up, her remark was, “I genuinely did not enjoy that.”

Wanaka to Queestown
... trail. I checked the trail map and being cautious decided that the easy green trail was about my standard. So after letting a couple of other bikers go first (as I took a particularly long time about putting my gloves on and adjusting my rucksack) I peddled off down my first ever down hill track.
