      ... the Virgin arrivals lounge for our second breakfast of the day and Mandy got a quick nail treatment, we then headed over to Terminal 2 where our last flight of the holiday was leaving from.       Alarm set for 2.30am so it was early to bed. Woke up quite fresh and all ready for our holidays. Flight left Aberdeen on time and was fairly smooth, arrived at Amsterdam to find our flight out was delayed by 2hrs, 35 mins!! :-( There was nothing else for it, off to the business lounge for a refreshment!       We are up at six to make dure we have time to enjoy the wonderful breakfast you always get at the Sukhothai. We have ordered a taxi for 8.00 which as it happens turns out to be too early. It is a public holiday in Thailand for the King's birthday so rather than being stuck in the usual traffic jams we sail straight to the airport in half an hour.

      Mum and I went for a walk in the morning by the river Dee. It is right next to Grandmas house. We saw blackberries (yum), dogs and birds. there was a man standing in the river fishing. We found a horse chestnut tree and collected conkers that had fallen on the ground. Mum said they were quite small because it's still to early for the best conkers.

      When you go ice-skating, it is good to remember that you are not the girl from the movie you watched last night.

      I decided that, given yesterday was a bit of a flop as far as pursuing my ice-skating career, that I better get going today.
