... from a lack of sleep and exhaustion from the wind and cold last night. Thursday we plan to wake up early and head back to Joshua Tree to do some hiking. The weather is supposed to be beautiful unlike today. We didn't get the mileage I was expecting on this vacation but that's okay. Barker Dam and Ryan Mountain are potential choices for hikes tomorrow. We also want to take more pictures of the Joshua trees. ...

... and they are everywhere. After talking to the park rangers, we learnt that there are several god campsites within the park. and for $10 a night, whats not to love? again, the stunning desert sunsets leave us speechless, and the fire we have in our pit is just the tonic in the cold desert (that and the bottle of red wine we are polishing off !!) a peaceful and tranquil nights sleep sees us sleeping in til 8am!! peace and quiet works wonders!!
