But the good thing is I survived this last week and a half with all it had to offer and I will survive the next week and more (with slightly less drama hopefully)

... uneventful. Despite copious amounts of melatonin I really only slept probably 4 hours total over the 30 hours of flying. The flight from Johannesburg to Durban was a godsend at only an hour after the preceding 10 hour flights.
I was met at the airport by Praline Ross whom I had just met a month earlier at the screenings of the Durban-shot OTELO BURNING at SIFF 2012. Her willingness to snag me at the airport and make my introduction to Durban ...

For now, I am glad
that FUN-Del found a way to make use of the conference, because the
outcome itself is nothing to write home about. So instead I have
chosen to write about the amazing work of 6 passionate young people,
and about the incredible youth that we were so lucky to have had the
opportunity to work with and learn from over here in South Africa. ...
