Cloudy and overnight rain in Florence. Cloudy and light rain in Venice at first then clear blue sky from 1pm. 20C
Left on intercity train at 8:30. Very comfortable in reserved seats (leather) with refreshments after boarding and very smooth again. Going around corners is particularly good as we are on quite a lean. It was a two hour trip, leaving time for a nap and some video editing. The Apostoli Palace offers a free ride to Murano to a specific glass factory they know, followed by touring anywhere we like on the island, so we were in luck!

... that hotel, everyone likes it !! No wonder. They liked our hotel, but we then walked to their place, Hotel Agli Alboretti, to get to which, we walked back to the Galleria Accademia, then around to the other side (to the right of the vaporetto dock, then a bit down that street on the left side. This is a very nice hotel, but no Pensione Accademia. We spent the next few hours showing them around Venice and having dinner out. Somewhere along the way Bruce and I ...
