      Woke up about 8 and got ready, went to the supermarket and got the shuttle to Venice at 10 and had a wander around, went over the Rialto bridge then headed to San Marco square, saw the bridge of sighs, then sat down for a bit by the river/canal, walked around some more then went to a cafe for a drink and say there chatting, found some ice cream, 3 scoops for €3 so had them sat outside ...

      ... and had had a lot of beef the week before, I ordered a platter of fresh, raw fish from the Rialto market and some pasta. The raw fish plate was good but the pasta rather disappointing. Margaret ordered a seafood salad and a sea food mix cooked in a bag, a sort of Italian bouillabaisse which she enjoyed. We should have shared our dinner as her dinner was easily large enough for two.

      Tired and sleepy, we passed on entertainment for which Venice is renown, and went to sleep rather ...

      ... to our hotel to shower before dinner.  Our last dinner was pretty good although we're definitely ready for a different selection!  As we walked our dinner off we stop to treat the girls to their last gelato in Italy.  Jade's favorite is strawberry and lemon sorbet and Chloe's is nocciola and lemon ... I like Nutella and Jason likes menta and bacio.  We seriously need to back off the daily gelato ...

      ... wih younger people and we were cold so instead we headed back to our hotel, bought some wine along the way and spent the evening playing cards and dying my hair. Italian instructions are hard to read but I'm sure it won't be that bad!
