    ... from Mignon Faget (thanks Mom, Dad, and Joelle), more literate thanks to a book of poetry (thanks Mom - who else?), and our house is now full of New Orleans stuff like PJ's coffee, Zapp's potato chips, Crystal hot sauce, and Saints paraphernalia (thanks Dominique, Chrissy, and my family).     ... of Venice. It's really funny because This monorail station is on an island, called Tronchenco , that they have built a road to. It's kind of like driving out to Tswawassen Ferry terminal in Vancouver. Troncencho really only has a bunch of empty office buildings and parkades on it. I have no idea why there is nothing there. Maybe pre-recession building.

    ... the outside, we weren't really ones for tours of chuches, museums and galleries. A trip to the top of the 100m high Campanile belltower which stood in the corner of the square was much more our thing. The belltower has impressive views over the terracotta-tiled roofs of Venice, the other islands in the lagoon and St Marks Square below. We played the "pigeon game".     Today the weather turned good again after a foggy and drizzly evening last night. We took a boat out to the island of Moreno, which is famous for glass.

    We saw someone making glass but weren't allowed to take pictures.

    The island was less crowded than in the main part of Venice, but still a lot of people.
