When we finished there the rain had stopped so we decided to head for St Marks Square as it’s a must see for Venice, when we got there we discovered that every tourist in Venice must be there. ... was really embarrassing but appreciated and I amazed myself by finding the hostel quickly without getting lost once even though I was hampered by roadworks and incredibly unhelpful directions.
So far Venice has not inspired me, I went for a walk this evening and it is very touristy to the point of feeling like the theme park. Ah well maybe it will be better tomorrow.

Venice is truly very expensive…..as an example we are eating fruit every single day and this is generally setting us back about €3 however, our daily shop of fruit of bananas, apples, oranges and an odd treat of strawberries in Venice cost us a whopping €10 !!!!
