    ... second favourite building in NYC- the flatiron building after which the tedious walking continued to get back to our original destination.

    There was a massive line at tkts so we decided to come back later after we went to get lunch at ruby Tuesdays. I had a really nice salmon, and his meal was also good, but Dad downgraded the recommended tip of 18% down to 12%, just because! I love it!

    ... too much time there and it wasn't long before we got the subway back to Manhattan where our next stop was the public library. This was really worth seeing (thanks for the tip Linda and Anika), it must be one of New York's best heritage buildings.

    ... of us have a head for heights we wimp out..

    It was a really interesting visit and good to see the lady up close and personal. The boat then went across to Ellis Island which was interesting but we found the layout of the museum confusing and overall it was not as special as we were expecting.

    After a subway ride home and a short rest we walk to Restaurant Marseille which was very busy with graduates and their families celebrating. An OK meal but not ...

    ... Mexican, I liked it (not as much as la Esquinna) the kids did not enjoy any of it apart from the corn chips and dip!!!
    As we head home Macy's is still in we go, hahahaha just shutting, no more shopping, we ended up in time square all carrying a few bags each, real tourists...anyway, lights and lights and more lights, no worrying about the energy use in time square. people of all types, pretty trashy really however fun to do...tick done.
