... had a pretty awesome view from the balcony on the 35th floor. Cost more for 5 nights than I spent on accommodation the first month of this trip. 1 day room service punished us by not leaving any toilet paper. I think the phone call of shame to reception went something like this 'Hi, our toilet is blocked....gk giggles.....ok we will ...

... En Route to lunch in the West Village we walked past Wall Street (which is always completely underwhelming) and the 9/11 memorial (which as always is moving). We took lunch sat outside at the Standard Bar and Grill which filled us up until the following day!

To try and work off our lunch we walked the High Line back home. Juliet embraced the High Line fully, taking her shoes and socks off and paddling in the water which runs ...

... this time, since everything I planned to order was on that menu and it’s a set $38 price. I got the onion soup for my appetizer and the steak frites for the main course and the chocolate beignets for dessert. The portion sizes are smaller on the restaurant week menu, which was actually better for me. The one main difference I noticed was with the beignets; I’ve been getting those at Brasserie for years now and I’m not sure whether they just changed them this year ...
