... couldn't get to the very top so stopped at Summit lake, only at 13,000ft but stunning.
In Georgetown we stopped to see the Rail-loop, made famous because the train does a loop to gain the height required. All a bit of mountain history, tied up with the mines. This small town like so many other are all so pretty, well keep, artistic and seem viable.
Continuing along through ski-land mountains we made our way ...
... is a really neat picture where you can seen something in the middle...it's rain.
Oh, and we had a movie type experience that happened so fast we could get a picture. We were driving along next to a berm and a military helicopter rises above the berm with it guns straight on us. Didn't shoot...think Obama just wants to get my attention to stop the FB posts.

... we reached the end of the road. The last leg of the climb, up to 14 thousand feet, had to be done on foot after adjusting to the altitude. I decided to channel Martina the mountain goat and get up that final stretch as quickly as I could, and it felt incredible to reach the top and gaze down on a lake far, far below. And it wasn’t raining!

We paused at the turnoff from Almont to ask the state patrolman when they were closing the road -- his answer of "3:00" matched up with the dozen or so printed things we'd seen that said the road closed at 3. But the question of "exactly where?" hadn't quite been cleared up.

... lunch and our tour leader was back.... so far so good all appears calm.... I think the chat did us all good as we then headed out for the food shop all together, yep that time again to cook!!! I have suggested making a chili!!!
We then went our for dinner and drinks..... great evening, lots of fun!!! Blimey I am surprised!!! It was quite a warm evening too..... so I bid you goodnight until ...
