At present we have booked all the flights, packed our rucksacks and believe it or not, we are still waiting for our bloody Visa's..... With less than one week to go we still haven't received them which is making us a little nervous. I'm hoping that they will be delivered to Oulton this coming week and that when they do arrive, they are correct ...

... loads of time with one mountain to go. On the way down, it was a different story. Basically it went straight down, but it wasn't the easiest of trails as it was really wey and muddy. Once down, we had a quick break before we moved on, but we didn't have far to go efore we were climbing Ingleborough. At 723 metres high, it is the secong highest peak but the hardest to climb. Even though there were stairs, they went straight up, and never stopped !!!

... to Cote Ghyll Caravan site , he had to go and borrow a hose off a neighbour as he had forgotten to fill my water tank. What did he think would happen...I would get it myself? Who does he think he is...his job is to look after me, not the other way round!!!

He also had trouble keeping me warm overnight... he couldn't understand how to turn on the ...

We headed out of town on the alternate route (other than hell-hill) and it was much better. Went through several little town seeking a cycle shop, but to no avail. Finally reaching Bishop Auckland, we rolled into a Halfords - hooray! the guy had one spoke pare that would fit Brian's bike. Wonderful, the bike's fixed! But it meant that Brian couldn't get a spare to take with me. Bonus, the ...

... the upset from saying goodbye and not seeing people for a while. However, I was not prepared for the feeling of guilt. At the end of the day Jeff and I have made this decision and if we feel upset than it's our own fault. However, it makes you feel pretty horrible when you make other people feel so upset and make them cry.

Really looking forward to starting work on the project and seeing their approach to caring for, educating and entertaining their disabled children and thinking how it compares to the way we do it over her in England. Also the big thing is am hoping to be able to make some kind of difference to their lives how ever small it may be.

... 1605 mal das Parliament in die Luft jagen wollten. Ein bisschen kurios, aber nutzt ja nichts. Auf jeden Fall wird hier auch schon reichlich vorher geknallt, die letzten 3 Nächte waren eigentlich wie Silvester. Mir wurde mit einer Signalpistole hinterher geschossen, dafür bin ich aber auch an 2 Wohnungsbränden vorbei gefahren (ich hoffe das waren die Wohnungen der Schützen...) und das Airedale ist absolut verraucht.
