What a fantastic day. Set off early - some borderline misery from the junior members- to drive to Provincetown on the northern most tip of Cape Cod. A trendy arty rainbows type of place. Our main aim to go whale watching on the Dolphin Fleet.

Got on the 1000 and did our customary Titanic shot and set off. The whole thing was done so well. The boat was not too crowded, the marine biologist on board did a brilliant show and tell about whales circulating a tooth with baleen ...

What a glorious day here! Beautiful blue sky after seeing nothing but grey for two days. Pam was starting to go stir crazy, hearing the rain off the roof. By mid-morning the skies had cleared and we had blue skies and sunshine so we found a lovely beachside cafe in which to have lunch. Then we did some shopping, climbed the 175 steps of the Pilgrim Memorial Tower to experience the 360 degree views (gorgeous) and had a look at the beach which has a really old broken pier that makes for some great photo opportunities. ... They were very impressed with David's itinerary and gave him their stamp of approval! The lady also guessed that I was a lawyer: freaky!

Unfortunately, our re-scheduled trip was cancelled as the sea was too choppy so we wandered back down along Commercial Street to re-book the trip, buy some more fudge, and have a late lunch in the sun (which we had at Tinys – David enjoyed his scallop roll but my vegetarian 'pho' ...
