... hours. Of singing Annie songs, continuously. We settled into our hotel and dinner time and I took the girls swimming while Carrie went out and picked up some southern barbecue - yum! It was a long day but fun with lots of laughter and songs! I wish I had videoed Phoebe singing "Little Girls" she does a mean Ms. Hannagian. ... We walked around Florida, took us about three minutes.

After Florida, we drove to Paris (so now we’ve been to Paris, France, Paris, TX, and I’ve been to Paris, TN). There is supposed to be a very old covered bridge in the area, but we never could find it and you would think that since it is a Missouri Historic Site, there would be better signage. ... trail. There is a LC campsite and historical marker along the trail about 5 miles from Rocheport and it's only accessible by walking or biking. I rode my bike to the site but didn't stay long because as Lewis noted in his journal "the mosquitoes were most troublesome". I was still very glad to get some pedal time on this section of the Katy.
It was late when I returned to Rocheport and drove a few more miles to spend the night near Boonville MO.

July 7, 2015 (LC westbound equivalent May 30 to June 3, 1804)

The van starting problem turned out to be a bad ground connection which was an easy fix and a lot cheaper than a new starter which was the first diagnosis. It took until noon before I got on the road again so it was another short day.

I have been lucky that the Missouri River is dropping because my route on US 94 ...
