... crossed into Mew Mexico at 8:35am. Stopped at a Russell's Visitor Center for breakfast. We thot it was just a visitor center and truck stop for gas, but it had a restaurant, Subway, grocery store and Linda even saw a car museum. The overpasses in NM are ornate and colorful. There was one bunch of interchanges over our heads in Albuquerque that went every which way and they were Terra cotta trimmed in blue. i feel re-energized by today's ride. I put on my long johns before leaving this morning and I was very comfortable all day.

... huge stone structures. You need a 4 wheel drive to get to various places. Soft sand, river beds, steep and rough tracks. We went to a few stone caverns amphitheatres ..acoustics were very good. Listened to stories, music and singing by Harry...and other native Indians. Very majestic and spiritual place. The tour was about 4 hours...very good. Harry sang songs for his mother and grandmother. Also he sang amazing grace in Navajo language ..very ...

The last bridge, Owachomo Bridge, isn't as tall as the others, but has the thinnest span. It is also close to the road, making it easy to hike down to. It seems that most people drive through this park without wanting to get out of their cars for long, and the car ahead of me didn’t even stop at the Owachomo parking lot.
