We got to the Hampton Inn in Gaylord
about 5:00 p.m. It was right across the road from a Bob Evans (a chain that started out in
Ohio) . . . and there was a Ruby Tuesday's a little further down the
road. We opted to walk over to the Bob Evans. Not a good idea. They
... dinner/listened to music and just relaxed. There is not cable at this campground, but we don't need it. We did have a DVD and watched a late night movie. At 8:30 it was so peaceful. Tomorrow we head to the Upper Peninsula where we will spend a few days --- probably until Wednesday. Looking forward to it. One thing I can say so far.........people are soooooooooooo nice. Helpful/friendly --- so unlike what we are used to in CT. ...

... campground we were treated to a visit by a Chocolate Lab who was taking a bath in the lake. The water was chilly but he didn't mind. We wish that Riley could have come on the road with us, and we talk about getting another dog. But we want to get a little more comfortable with traveling before we introduce another family member. And we need to make sure there is enough room in the camper for three of us!
