... and onto my gate, I realized that I was still running on Michigan time so I had an extra hour to wait.
American Airlines overbooked the flight and was giving away $800 travel vouchers to whoever would take the next flight to London but since it arrived a couple hours too late for me to make my connection flight I had to sit that one out.
Not looking forward to the rough hours of plane-sleeping but here goes nothing...

Puis Little Italy, l'occasion de deguster un bon granizado (la glace pilee aromatisee...c'est quoi en francais?) et le fameux Italian beef (bof, pam), Greektown avec un mini Parthenon pour nous indiquer l'entree, Chinatown ou il n'y a que des chinois, ou le temps s'est arrete 30 ou 50 ans en arriere (parlent-ils anglais?), ou nous avons trouve une eglise des chretiens chinois unis! wow!

Friday 4 June

Today we left Dodgeville, Wisconsin headed for Chicago. We cross into Illinois and are welcomed by the most underwhelming state sign seen so far. We get good instruction on how to find the Best Western motel at O'Hare. As we approach we have eyes darting here and there and yes you guessed it, we miss the turn and end up going around in circles continually passing our turnoff but not able to get on to it!
