Further north we passed thru the old town of Goldfield and there were lots of old working around the town, especially off to the east.     ... high and spectacular The whole scenery was magnificent. We got to Yosemite Lodge late in the afternoon, and there were heaps of other people and buses and cars everywhere ! The first thing we did was to walk to the base of the waterfall, which is very close to the Lodge.     ... DOWN that mountain.

    I am sure everyone wants to know my gas mileage. From Gilroy to Menlo Park was 8 mpg and from MP to Reno to Carson City was 8.74. That 8.74 included the climb up 80 in the Sierras and the mountain I told you about in the previous paragraph.

    Every time I get cocky and think I have this motor homing thing under control, I am reminded that I DON'T control much.

    Bula from Fiji (Fun In Jungle Island). We are having lots of fun getting use to Fiji time. While in Nadi we hired a taxi and headed off downtown. We had our first encounter with a kava ceremony, which is a root prepared from the root of piper methysticum, a type of pepper plant, and is also their national drink..
