      ... too cold where every body part hurt so we called it quits early. We found out that Heavenly closed early too because of the conditions. Our plan was to take Jalen to see fireworks at Heavenly village on NYE but we cut the trip short and left NYE because of the horrible weather. It is way to cold, highs of 18.       ... and had our first stop. Reno station has the aesthetics of Birmingham New Street station, so it was not a great place to stop. After this we carried on following the I-80 in the direction of Utah. After ten minutes we passed Wild Island, where we spent last Saturday, and then we were into unfamiliar territory. The scenery changed a lot over the time before the next stop, with mountains, large flat scrub areas and the occasional green valley.
