... whole island, however, was that virtually all of the shops, Inns, cafes, farmhouses appeared to be authentically at least 100 years old. Most were clad in weathered shake siding or white slat siding. The morning ride was most fun, up around the north end of the island, with a stop at the 150 year old lighthouse, through absolutely idyllic rolling farm fields with many small lakes and marshlands.

... learning some french during my summer when I had time, but all I can really say is "I'm lost" (je suis perdu), "I eat an apple" (Je mange une pomme) and "A black cat" (Un chat noir). I can thank Duolingo for teaching me that! Duolingo, the app that's always teaching me useless phrases that I will probably not have to use, but hey at least I can say "I'm lost." Though I probably should refrain myself from using "je suis perdu" because I don't think my mom wants a Taken 3 ...

Keeping up with Grandad

... the local bike path, it felt great to get all this exercise in, we will endeavour to keep it up! That evening, Grandad took us to Providence station once again, to catch a train to the airport. We had to spend the night there, not pleasant. Our flight was at 5:30, next stop Bogota, Colombia.
