... town there's an incredible amount of traffic. He pointed out a few good places to eat. About 12 of us plumped for Jim Edwards, a pub with a restaurant. I had chicken curry with rice, and it was very good indeed, despite there being roughly eight pounds of rice on my plate. I also had a glass of cider (but not johnny jump-up!). Walked around a little bit afterward with Katherine and Michelle.

Am looking forward to sleeping in my great big spider-free (crosses fingers) ...

... we really liked them a lot. Soon on the road, we found out that Kells is very close to Lawcus and we were there in 15 mins flat! And it was amazing. Very much like Jerpoint, but in its natural condition and not enhanced by the Irish Government – meaning that it was very natural and in bad shape. They had some scaffolding around, but for the most part we had full reign of the grounds and by ourselves.

... halfway there we passed a sign warning us to slow down because road bowling was in process, i thought it was a bit strange that they'd be doing roadworks on a sunday but when we came round the corner we all got much more confused! there were men in fluro safety vests and a whole group of people stopping and waving through cars. we asked what was going on and they told us to pull over and have a look. so we did! and a very kind lady explained to us the rules of road bowling, a very ...

... she finally only charged me the extra charge for one day. And if you don't book a Seaview room, I've heard and seen on Tripadvisor that the other rooms are pretty ratty. The parking area is pretty nice but it's a small lot and parking is first come first served. You give a 20euro deposit for an RFID chit to open the gate into a hidden parking lot behind Tradewinds restaurant. If you have to try to park in the street, GOOD LUCK!
