We left Sara & Colum's this morning for the second half of our adventure. First major point of interest will be Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. Traveling through west Texas was new territory for us. Enjoyed going through Fredericksburg - advertised as "Peach Country." It lived up to its name. After going through downtown, there were peach roadside stands everywhere. We finally stopped to buy some peaches for the ...

Jeff's family headed back to Newtown PA today. Dad toolk them to the airport at 6:30 AM. They arrived home safely, happy to see temperatures in the 70's. Did you know Giselle hates the heat? No one can understand like mothers how important it is to get the whole family together. Doing it in Texas was extra ...

It was a long, hot, hot day but a wonderful day in spite of it. I am sure the kids will remember it ...

... we could find - no matter how small. Another tradition we have when we visit Texas is Rudy's BBQ. It is an experience. The kids thought it was cool to eat off the table with no plates- just a piece of white paper for a placemat. The children didn't enjoy the food as much as the adults did! After dinner was over uncle Chad had to head back to Houston. He's such a good Uncle it was hard to say goodbye but we will all be together again at ...

... the top of his head. I told him he should write them all down and invent a new trivia game, especially since he never asked the same question twice. But then he doesn't like writing, so guess that won't happen. Don't know what he's going to do in school this fall since he will probably have to do a lot of writing.

We started out driving in the rain. The sky looked like it was ready to open up and pour on us. Thank goodness that was not the case. It did rain ...
