Virginia went Democrat mainly due to a large population growth around Greater Washington DC--turning this very "Red State" into a polarized state, mainly Democrat in the DC suburbs and mainly Republican in the rest of the state. ... the night before. I had taken a picture of the nose, which had a city name on it, and they matched. Alas, our flight to Washington was completely full, so not the room to lounge around as we'd had before.

The flight was 11 hours, and felt every part of it. We all slept at times, and there were dozens of movies and TV shows from which to pick, but it still seemed like a very long flight. We were extremely happy to hear the landing announcement.
