... of more than another hour of waiting were incorrect and we were in the air after not much more time. The weather, particularly over Iceland, made for a very rough 9-hour flight home, which was compounded by some circling around Dulles to avoid severe thunderstorms.

All that said, once finally on the ground, we had our quickest trip through Immigration and Customs ever at Dulles. Even our bags were some of the first on the belt.

... went into work from 8am - 10am, to brief on some information on my new project then said my goodbyes and finished moving the remainder of my things. I finished the move and headed straight to check in at the airport at 5pm and then meet the family for dinner at 540pm and was back at the airport at 7pm for my 845pm flight. Success.

... finally getting to our gate across the rainbow pedway we hit a sandwich shop near our gate for some pretty spectacular deli sandwiches. Gina had corned beef and I had a Cuban. They made all their own meat and cut it right in front of you. Satisfied we killed some more time walking around O'Hare (which isn't that exciting).
