UPDATE

Well 7 weeks to GO!!!!

June is still busy buying clothes can't keep her out the shops. We are busy trying to set up all the systems we need in place and staff what they need to do in our absence.

Great finding so many people interested in what we will be doing and where we are travelling to.

Just want to get Junes problem sorted at the hospital they are messing us about. Got heavy with them today.

Watch out for the next update.

The Adventure Begins Again!

... and then going back to bed (tis alright for some). So after a spot of breakfast Dawn took me to the airport and my adventures begun.
In the airport I found my way to the baggage check-in, and guess what? I was the only one there. So I obviously could have stayed another half hour in bed, but the good think was that there was long line to wait in. Once my suitcase was gone I had to head off for customs. Here practically every thing has to come off including your belt and shoes, and put ...

Waiting at the airport

Well - being in Cardiff was good since it is the closest airport, being on a 2-hr drive to the hotel. But had to wait about an hour for the rental car place to open up.

At least I got to go through the visitor information brochures and grab a bite at Burger King.

... to go!

I took the train from London Paddington to Cardiff Central. The trip took about two hours and had some stops along the way, but was pretty smooth and not a bad way to travel at all.

Once in Cardiff, I found my way to the travel information place, where I picked up a free map. I'd looked at maps of Cardiff in my England tourbook, but I wanted something I could look at without needing to flip through or look too massively touristy ...

Had a load of forms today from P and O they want another £300 for visas for entering the waters of AUSTRALIA INDIA AND USA even if you don't get of the ship. They don't mention this till one has paid. Is there anywhere special on the route that anyone would like a postcard from do tell us and we will put it on the list

... such a tourist compared to the chilled out Thai. Thank god I had the others: Jenny, Andy and Vicky are (very luckily) the coolest people ever and we seem to have picked up a few others just around, obviously attracted to the shine on my face (it is so hot). Sop weve been diving into Chiang Mai - markets, cookoing, shopping, racing around on tuk-tuks, night bazaar, lovely restaurants (really really cheap ...
