        Just grabbed breakfast at McDonald's and gas after 2 hours on the road already. Stayed in Knoxville TN. It's been a wet and beautiful drive so far this morning. Of course it's just now daylight and starting to rain. We can tell we have gone north as we started out about 68 when we left hotel and by the time we stopped for gas we were all digging our sweaters out of the trunk. It is now 57 and dropping. ...

        Good day, Bad day. The bad first. Headed out from Memphis in the morning with AC on and all of a sudden there was a antifreeze mist coming out of the vents. This is particularly unsettling, as I had the whole heater core replaced less than a year ago. So stopped at a auto parts store, got some radiator leak stop and eventually it solve the problem.         ... immensely thick, and you can see that many a pioneer from the early days could have become hopelessly lost in no time. Eventually came to a little town called Boone where we booked in to a Super 8 Motel for one night. Didn't check in straight away, but instead drove on up to the brewery.
