Beautiful Banff

It's always beautiful watching the sun rise over your city. Around Banff the peaks light up one by one, long before any rays reach the streets below. I'm in the Canadian Giza.

... Beavertails are a dessert, waffle/dounut that is deep fried and then covered with the topping of your choice. Andrew got one with nutella spread and caramel topping with chocolate sprinkles over the top. Mine had vanilla icing with crushed oreos all over it. Unbelievable, Donna and Greg – WOW… After the beavertails was Moe Joes, an underground club selling $3.75 jegerbombs, vodkas, bourbons and $3.00 shots.

Canmore and Stanley Glacier

I had an early night as I got up early today to do the hike up to Stanley Glacier in Kootenay NP just across the border marking the continental divide into British Columbia. I did the hike through a group called the Grand Nature Club which organises weekly hikes in the region for a small fee.
