Took Air New Zealand for the Sydney-Christchurch leg. The flight attendants talked in a funny accent. What is it with folks from south of the equator? ... It's almost like a ghost city! Except for this one street, where they use big containers as shops. It's really well done actually! It looks really nice, colorful and cosy. But that really is the only shoppingstreet in town. There is not even one bar open anymore! ... I was being deported?!?!) The lady turned to me and said, everything is fine, this is just a piece of paper of all your flight numbers from now until you go home. So if you run into the same problem again just hand this over. And that was that! I was a free woman again! The piece of paper made no sense to me, it was just a load of lines of numbers and letters but it seemed to have done the trick! I was finally able to go to departures and relax, right? Wrong ...
