“Lovely B&B, Lovely owners”
Highly recommended B&B. Close to Wanaka. The owners, Ian & Ann, were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Rooms are very nice and comfortable.
Ian also gives fly-fishing lessons which are well worth asking about.

“A perfect place to stay”
A stunning location right on the bank of the river Clutha and only a few minutes drive to Wanaka. Beautiful room with a view of the river with a great little terrace to sit and marvel at the view. Fantastic breakfasts with fresh baked muffins, homemade muesli, fresh and stewed fruit and perfectly cooked eggs. Lovely owners who made us feel really welcome - provides some strawberries and chocolates when they realised it was our anniversary. Ian also gives fly fishing lessons and I can heartily recommend him as a teacher - very patient and got us 'mastering' casting within a couple of hours. I would stay hear again in a heartbeat. Fab!

We had an amazing drive to Wanaka via Queenstown. Went shooting past the turn-off to our hotel but realised within a couple of minutes and soon found ourselves pulling up outside a really charming house right on the bank of the River Clutha.

Arriving early afternoon, we heaved the bags on and then went in search of our hostel. Ten minutes up the road and a very steep drive, my feet were in agony in my shoes, we were glad to find Wanaka Bakpaka (spelt like that, I haven’t had a spelling moment), perched on the hillside with stunning lakeside views. After getting settled in we went for a walk around the town and had an ice cream by the water’s ...
