... region 'stamp' in my Senior Passbook - a way to keep track of each National Park that I visit.

We're now into Indiana and were able to locate a campground just 3 miles across the border in Michigan. Thankfully we entered this area after the Notre Dame football game had begun or we would have encountered a highway full of anxious fans heading toward South Bend.

Mileage: 289 miles today / 1001 miles total

... trial - cold case murder. OMG things are different in the USA. The jury can ask questions in a different way to our system, they deal with matters of law with the jury still in Court and the advocates walk around the room. Crazy stuff.

After Uni tour is an inn of court meeting where we have to do a presentation....

Will try take some photos of this wonderfully, reasonably small, quaint amazing-ville. We travel by train back to Chicago tomo AM (boo).

... br> without paying. Not that we knew we had, there was no one manning the
booths so we thought it might be free after a certain time or
something. Anyway, it turns out we were meant to pay somewhere and
the ticket went to Rick. Lesson learned. So on the road between
Milwaukee and Chicago, through Chicago and into Indiana we paid 6
tolls totally almost $25. I hope this isn't indicative of the rest of
the trip, that's gonna add up!

... 71 degrees! Friday was a beautiful day EXCEPT the wind was blowing so strong there were white caps on the St. Joseph River.  The strong breezes kept us inside most of the day but we did manage to go out in the morning for a nice long walk through all the campground areas.  There are some nicer sites than the one we chose, but not they don’t back up to the river like ours.  So you can trade view for wider greener ...
