... afternoon after we drove around South Bend, Notre Dame University, and seeing a movie, it decided to stop raining. We rushed back to the trailer and got into our riding cloth and picked up the bikes. We finally found the bike trail we were looking for... after an hour, and spent the rest of the day riding on a great bike trail. booths so we thought it might be free after a certain time or
something. Anyway, it turns out we were meant to pay somewhere and
the ticket went to Rick. Lesson learned. So on the road between
Milwaukee and Chicago, through Chicago and into Indiana we paid 6
tolls totally almost $25. I hope this isn't indicative of the rest of
the trip, that's gonna add up!
This is packing day. We've been debating all day (all week even?) whether to take one car (the CR-V) or two (the Prius also). We finally decide we CAN actually fit everything in one car (and on top in carrier). We decide to leave the kitchen ...

Then after being seated, there was a brief, but tense disagreement between waitresses about whose table we were at. We were very happy when one waitress finally acquiesced. The service was great and the portion size was impressively accurate for the kids. A great day and evening was had by all.
