... but this has changed over the years but football still is god. There is a huge stadium which is just for football and hosts about 6 games a year. Their football season is only about 11 games. Seems such a waste to have a facility so underutilised.

... was an area that was obviously where the tourists went to take buggy rides and browse the shops. It reminded me of Montville on a weekend but in American Amish country. It was interesting to see the horses and buggies going along the road shoulder and cars on the road. We saw so many horses and buggies in a small area in such a short period of time and it was not put on for the tourists. That was just how I wanted to see their community.

... people from college/freshman year, Ellen Valentine. She came over and we relaxed and caught up. Ellen is the kind of gem of a friend who I haven’t seen in several years, but when I see her it’s like no time had passed. What a pleasure. Later that evening we all piled into Jon’s car and rode downtown to enjoy the Pittsburgh symphony featuring a piece by Rachmoninoff. What a lovely time! From there we enjoyed a yummy Thai dinner and came home to start ...

... the Sunny Days Laundromat in Portage IN, not far from where we were. It was great - clean and roomy, and the lady who worked there was very helpful. And it had free wi-fi. We got the laundry done and headed for Chicago. (Oh yeah, before we did the laundry Kelly had a hankering for White Castle, so we grabbed a few burgers. I give White Castle the over packaging award - everything was in small boxes plus they gave us paper plates...don't really need all that!.)
