Saturday morning dawned hot and windy. This area is very dry and the wind blew all night in huge gusts. Even though we had bought a bag of wood for a fire, there is a fire ban in British Columbia so we couldn't light the fire last night. Today Carol and Bruce have driven us higher into the mountains. BTW, Eureka is a wonderful little town. we hiked the length of it for "the best hamburger in town"! It was indeed the best that we had in town. Its fair price eased our walk back to the park.
