... go grocery shopping once we arrive at our destination. So off we went. Driving north on 281 we ran into the usual traffic, but it seemed we were making good time. About Bulverde, I heard Bob say "****" and "we have no brakes" the "low brake fluid light" came on and by the time we could slow down enough to pull off, we could smell the brakes. As luck would have it, we had stopped by a Velaro with a Jiffy Lube type place beside it. We got out, dropped the hood, finally located ...

Seriously, I was thinking that Texas was a **** hole, and then, all of a sudden, from out of nowhere, the road turns to rolling green hills as far as the eye can see. Simply beautiful and exactly what the doctor ordered! The park that we are staying at is in Spring Branch, TX. The ranger says its called Hill Country, that we are in central Texas and this area is the best part of ...

... The whole downtown area is so well marked/ signed. It's pretty easy to find things. On Thursday we rode our bikes into town along the trail that follows the San Antonio River. It's a great trail to ride on, or walk on. We ate lunch at a Mexican restaurant near the main square. We both had fajitas. Very tasty!! Then we rode back home, changed and headed back into town on the bus. We did the hop on hop off bus tour through town ( about ...

... muffin and brought some cereal bars up aswell, you know - just incase that wasn't enough! We are out on the communal balcony, it was nice and cool(ish) as we were in the shade, he started feeding the pigeons but they must have been used to it because they weren't shy at all. We showed and went out, the taxi driver in Dallas warned us of the heat in San Antonio, that it was hotter than Dallas! I didn't think it was possible, but he sure was right! We could barely ...

... copied the directions from Google maps. However, the map we were using was not for the hotel, but how to get to downtown New Braufels. I drive, my navigator gives directions. As we entered a traffic circle, Dianna says, "turn left at the second spur". I had no clue, we laughed as there was no way any hotel was in this area anyway. After a few turns and turnarounds we found our home.

A good day.
