... used to have as kids) and he demonstrated his foot lathe which he uses to make the tops. It was very interesting. He said that kids who come to the center love the tops and he sells quite a few. He is also a tree trimmer (he called it something else but I can't remember) and he basically is the only tree trimmer for miles around. And there are a LOT of trees!!! So he is enjoying both his hobby and his day job and loves the area.

A relaxing afternoon so far and then we're planning to stand on the side and watch the show again tonight so that John can take notes. It's been so much better to have the opportunity to actually watch the show we're promoting for the next six months (duh, I know) even if it did cost an arm and a leg to get out here. We've met some really lovely people on the show so far and we'll definitely miss the camaraderie when we leave on Saturday.
