Loaded the Boomer with all our gear and set off around the dreaded "biggest car park in the world" (M 25) and then reached Stisted, near Braintree in Essex. We went to have a quick lunch with Ronnie and Homer. Old friends - we calculated together that we last met up in 1989. So good to see them and see how they had renovated the inside ...

... learnt (a bit) about cars..though most the instructors would say I know nothing! In contrast, spotting a Lamborghini Gallardo (and correctly naming it) on the A404 to Wycombe with mum, was enough for her to disown me- woops!

Not an exciting first entry, but hey- come January I may have more interesting things for you to read!

... to stretch our legs. Stopped at a pub and had a drink and free wifi so was able to get in touch with Ross and the outside world. The sun then came out and it was quite hot. Tony bought a litre bottle of famous grouse for £6.95 which was very good . Back to azura and a spot of sunbathing before saying goodbye to gib and a shower to get ready for the evening ...

Woke up this morning to a rather rocky ship, winds rain and rough seas, went up on deck for breakfast and looking out to see could see some blue sky on the horizon so hope it will brighten up later. Just had a report from the bridge that the winds are gusting force nine and some of the outside decks have been closed. Must say it is a little rocky. ... we rounded the bend and found a burger joint similar to Harvey's. We went in and ordered garlic mayo cheeseburgers and diet cokes. The food was amazing and we felt good enough to keep moving. We then found a candy and fudge store which had the most interesting gift ideas for people. We purchased a few things to bring home for people, and went over to the Roman Bath museum. It was still open for another 5 hours, so we paid our entry and went in. It took a good solid hour ...
