... gone off to the pub opposite for lunch and had done the same thing the day before and gone off for four hours, a definite No No for a boater. This could well have been the person responsible for leaving the lock gates open.

... in locking up the lodge, she had managed to walk in and make herself a cup of tea. Good job really as all our wallets and handbags were in there. Slug was then banned from locking up again. ... each other, played ball. We ate a lovely lunch which was prepared by the staff. The flies were everywhere, it was awful, but the children don't seem to worry! At the end of the day, we all gathered together under shelter (as it began to rain really hard) and sang songs together. They prayed together.
