... the worlds biggest pizzas and a couple of ales - home by 9pm - a great night really. We can see how you might get stuck in a pub and easily write off 5-6 hours no problem. Easy to do when its cold and dark outside. Saturday was a lazy late start - went to get a few things from the shops for lunch etc papers and coffee - felt like we were back in the normal Canberra routine! Meeting my Uncle Alan, Dad's brother was something I anticipated doing years ago. To finally achieve my goal to meet our British family after my search began in Boston 20 years ago was both rewarding and satisfying.

We have an amazing family!

Day 16 ~ Cambridge & drive to Lincolnshire

A travel blog entry by edwardsfamtrips on Aug 10, 2013

... Thankfully we made it all the way to our next temporary home without too much trouble. Once we found our temporary place though we were not sure exactly where we would be since it was just one building we could see. It ended up being multiple flats that were lovely & finished off very nicely. I phoned up Jeannette the owner to see where we needed to go & she came down to meet us & to show us to our place.

She gave us a bottle of wine ...
