... Trinity church. It is a mix of the local reddish stone, highlighted by carved sandstone capping and door and window frames. Opposite it is what looks like an old school or possibly an older Manse or monastery of similar age with an imposing arched gate with a Latin inscription with the year 1694. ... Spencer's because it looks like DJs, we set off to Barrow upon Soar, Loughborough to stay with Helene and Eddy Wake, Marks parents.
