Easy day driving from Missoula, MT to Post Falls, ID.
We were able to help out a trucker who have a broken water line to his cab heater. He had water leak fixed before we arrived but we were able to drain enough fresh water out of our trailer tank to fill his radiator. We went out to supper and then opened bottle of champagne to celebrate our good fortunes on the road for one ...

With no stats to back it up, that trek has been labeled as one of our top 3 “epic” hikes (generally defined as a hike we probably weren’t fit enough to do, but did anyway). Zeta is an 80-lb bundle of wagging tail and love, while Lily (140 lbs) is gentle, polite, and extremely sweet. Susan tells ...

... out for...but then only for the bit of water on the surface of the highway. The Rest Area on the Montana side near the steep had taken a beating, however. There were snowbanks up to about six feet in height at the edges of the parking area. Winter has surely kept the Highway crews hopping. Shorty didn't seem to need a rest himself, but waited patiently while we did. I got a couple of shots of the area and hope to get them ...

... Valley didn't phase us in the least bit. The drive through the rest of Montana and into Idaho was one of the most unique vistas we have ever witnessed. Mountains were plentiful and I-90 pierced right through them. We made one pitstop to fuel up with gas and food. The first request Jaclyn made back in Pennsylvania was to use this trip as an excuse to indulge in fast food once during the trip. While filling up the gas tank, a Burger King sign ...
