... blessing in disguise as it was absolutely hammering down with rain and the previous tour had included an hour walking around castle ruins in the rain!

Third stop - Bed and Breakfast in Inverness with no breakfast and no heating! (doing well so far)
Heating was rectified (sort of - it turned off during the night) and at least there was a hot shower!

Things improved after that. We headed south ...

... weather that was cancelling trains and flights, closing bridges and tipping over lorries. We took a walk around Inverness, mainly looking to book ourselves on a Loch Ness cruise and find out what else there is to do in the area. Nothing was open so we had dinner and decided to come back in the morning. There was a local band playing at our hotel pub so we spend a nice evening listening to some local jazz.

We were told of a story of a crazy scientist type man who lived near a cemetery and late at night he would go through his underground tunnel into the depths of the cemetery and steal freshly laid bodies and try and bring them back to life.
