Arrivé à pied au pied de la tour, je n’arrive pas à trouver l’entrée car ici tout est conçu pour les voitures. Les transports en commun n’existent pas non plus à Riyad (ah ! le chouette métro de Dubaï…), et les piétons qui marchent comme moi sur les pseudo-trottoirs encore moins.

On arrival back at the hotel I was told that they forgot to tell me that it is open from 4pm to 11pm, and so I made a second attempt that day to go see this place, which ended up with me being shooo'd away again. This time I was told that they forgot to tell me that it was a national holiday :o(

So in the end I did not get to visit any attraction, but I did get to drive around ...

... essential if you are not to get lost. We hired an excellent guide and saw amazing portions of this city. During our lunch break, I was not feeling well and so I sat in a small unnamed square just watching the world go by. I saw donkeys wander by carrying propane tanks, make shift BBQs grilling up lunch, and shop keepers sitting outside their stores looking at the sky and making small talk with their competitors.
