... langen Nacht auf dem Jamaa El Fna (dem zentralen Platz in Marrakesch) mit ausschlafen, fruehstuecken und dann einem Spaziergang in einem der alten Souks verbracht, bevor ich dann wieder in Richtung Truck gefahren bin, der ausserhalb von Marrakesch steht.

Guess what... it was a carpet shop, we must have been in their for over 30 minutes- He pulled out 10 big carpets all different designs layered onto of each other. I sat in the background while Mum touched the carpets. 'I'll give you a great offer like family' (Yeah right, he tells everyone that!) ... a carpet. I did find out it takes 3 months to make a medium carpet by hand.

On the way back to our riad, we walked along to palace walls of El Badi Palace, taking photos of the storks. 2 young boys on rollerskates offered to show us the way to a mosque & garden- knowing no english they insisted on money by holding their hand out, we gave them a few centines- they looked disappointed.

Night

A monkey jumped on Helen's head, we got the man to leave us alone.
A man asked me if I wanted to come for a drink & a smoke to his shop- I declined 'No' sternly.
